This swim is a fundraiser for LifeFlight of Maine
LifeFlight of Maine is a non-profit charity organization that provides critical care transport throughout Maine. We rely on private donations from individuals, corporations and foundations to purchase state-of-the-art medical equipment and emergency medical aircraft. By participating in the swim you are helping us fulfill our promise to be there for all Maine people who need critical care transport in a life-threatening situation.
Swim The Costa Brava aims at becoming the meeting point for all the open water swimmers at national as well as international level.
We understand that certain trends have changed and so have the concerns of thousands of followers and sportsmen enthusiasts of open water swimming. The first stage (Swim the Costa Brava) within the European Open Water Swimming Championship is born precisely out of the desire to address these changes and to honour this sports disicpline.

The 44th Waikiki Roughwater Swim is now apart of history. It was another beautiful day in paradise with some trade winds whipping up the water through points of the course. Competitor numbers were elevated from recent years. We hope everyone will join as again for the next event on Labor Day 2014, mark your calendars now! Join us on Sunday, September 6th, 2015 for a 2.2M swim from the Statue of Liberty to the Freedom Tower in downtown Manhattan.
This swim is dedicated to celebrating the freedom of the American people, and to the memory of those that died and served on September 11, 2001
The Liberty to Freedom Swim is a challenging open water event, involving a Hudson River channel crossing in typically choppy conditions. All participants must provide proof of recent, comparable open water swim experience, and must swim at a pace of 30 minutes per mile or faster.
