The Ecover Blue Mile @ The Barbican & Waterfront, Plymouth, UK

The Ecover Blue Mile is the UK’s mass-participation watersports event for our blue environment.  This is your chance to join thousands of people across the UK who will be getting wet this summer, to raise funds for the Marine Conservation Society, to help safeguard our seas, shores and wildlife.

Swim, kayak or paddle the Ecover Blue Mile at our flagship event in Plymouth over the weekend of 14th and 15th September 2013.  Or if you fancy a bigger challenge, why not take on all three disciplines in our Aquatriathlon.
The one mile, timed, open water swim will take place in Plymouth's stunning and historic waterfront. Participants must be aged 16 yrs and over on the day of the event and be capable of swimming the full distance. Timing chips and swim hats are included in the entry fee and wetsuits are compulsory.  There is also a 0.5 mile open water swim for 14yrs and over.

The Clean Half – Extreme Marathon Swim – 15km, 5-team Relay, or Solo, Hong Kong @ Stanley Main Beach

Join us for the 7th annual Clean Half swim, around some amazing cliffs, islands and scenery in Hong Kong.  Warm water, great people, and an incredible city.  This is a 5-person relay race, or, solo event.  Organizer will arrange support boats for those who need them.  This is ranked as Asia's top ocean swim.

The Five – 5km Ocean Swim, Hong Kong @ Stanley Murray House to Repulse Bay

The Five is the newest in our series of amazing Hong Kong open water swims.  This one is also the first to have prize money offered.  This 5km race is part of the new Southern Beach Games, which will also include a 2-day Beach Water Polo tournament, canoe polo, beach handball, and beach dodge ball.   Come swim in warm waters and see some incredible scenery, all on the back side of Hong Kong.  The "clean side."

LAKE ELAND MILE – OPEN WATER SWIM (KZN SOUTH AFRICA) @ Lake Eland Game Reserve

Lake Eland Mile Open Water Swim takes place each year on the first sunday of November , the next event will take place in the Lake at the Lake Eland Game Reserve, in Kwazulu Natal South coast of South Africa on the 3rd of November 2013. For a truly wild swim experience this is an event not to be missed. Set in the bush amongst wild animals the lake is a draw card for swimmers from all over the world as the location although in the bush is also only 35km away from the beach in the closest town of port Shepstone. The events offered include 500m / mile events and 3000m event which is a SSA qualifying event. The Lake Eland mile sees swimmers from ages 6 - 76 enter the event each year, an activity the entire family can join in for. Cash prizes and Gold Silver and Bronze medals are won each year over 29 different categories and all swimmers receive finishing medals. Although many stands is available for browsing on the day including food stalls, the Reserve allow visitors to bring in their own drinks, gas braais and food should they not wish to purchase food at the venue. Fees for 2013 ranges from R85 per swimmer for team events to R260 (including towels and depending on date of entry) many fee structures are offered in between and largely depend on the date entered, whether a towel is ordered and whether discount applies. Lake Eland Mile offers discounts on entries in 2013, should a swimmer swim more than one event discounts are given and should a swimmer be a pensioner 20% discount on entry fees are offered. 2nd Annual Aaron Vaughn Memorial Frogman Swim @ 2nd ANNUAL AARON VAUGHN MEMORIAL FROGMAN SWIM

This 5K & 1K open water swim (fixed buoy course) will honor one of America's finest. Aaron Vaughn, a member of DEVGRU (SEAL Team VI), was KIA on Aug. 6th, 2011 when a Chinook helicopter crashed in the Tangi River Valley of Afghanistan. All 30 American warriors on board lost their lives that day. This crash represented the single largest loss of life in Naval Special Warfare history.

The Annual Aaron Vaughn Memorial Frogman Swim is the primary fundraiser for Operation 300 Camp. www.operation300.com - an extreme adventure camp for children of fallen soldiers.

All registrants will receive free breakfast, juice, coffee, and fruit as well as a free lunch for our awards celebration! The first 200 registrants will be guaranteed an event sports bag full of goodies, including a specially designed, one-of-a-kind T-shirt from "Forged Clothing~ An American Brand" (A San Diego company founded by 2 Navy SEALs)

This will be a family-fun day. Events will be planned throughout the morning to entertain your children, including a 50 yard Tadpole Swim, so be sure to bring them along!
