Description — Austin's signature open water swimming event — A 2,000+ meter open-water course — the only downhill swimming race in Texas.
Join us for fun, health & fitness, to promote clean water & water conservation, to promote open water swimming, and to raise money to fight Prostate Cancer. Entrants race, some swim leisurely, all enjoy the beauty and uniqueness of this lush and gorgeous wooded setting in the middle of Austin, Texas!

The Ben Hair Open Water Race meet features a range of opportunities with race distances from 500m up to 5k, a large block of camping area at the race site (as well as many other lodging options, see below), and an open water clinic for both coaches and swimmers. In an effort to enhance the team aspect of this event we are including team scoring and a new event - the Team Time Trial (also know as the "Team Pursuit"). The result is a meet that can provide the athlete with a range of team-oriented, challenging, and motivating events.
This 5K & 1K open water swim (fixed buoy course) will honor one of America's finest. Aaron Vaughn, a member of DEVGRU (SEAL Team VI), was KIA on Aug. 6th, 2011 when a Chinook helicopter crashed in the Tangi River Valley of Afghanistan. All 30 American warriors on board lost their lives that day. This crash represented the single largest loss of life in Naval Special Warfare history.
The Annual Aaron Vaughn Memorial Frogman Swim is the primary fundraiser for Operation 300 Camp. www.operation300.com - an extreme adventure camp for children of fallen soldiers.
All registrants will receive free breakfast, juice, coffee, and fruit as well as a free lunch for our awards celebration! The first 200 registrants will be guaranteed an event sports bag full of goodies, including a specially designed, one-of-a-kind T-shirt from "Forged Clothing~ An American Brand" (A San Diego company founded by 2 Navy SEALs)
This will be a family-fun day. Events will be planned throughout the morning to entertain your children, including a 50 yard Tadpole Swim, so be sure to bring them along!
Swim Across America (SAA), a national non-profit organization dedicated to raising money for cancer research, prevention and treatment is set to host its third annual Dallas events June 7-8, 2013. The much anticipated fundraisers will benefit the InnovativeClinicalTrialsCenter at the BaylorCharlesA.SammonsCancerCenter in Dallas, the largest outpatient cancer center in North Texas dedicated to cancer care, research and education.
Minocqua Island Swim Challenge is a one-mile out and back open water swim in Lake Minocqua. The event is hosted by the Minocqua Area Chamber of Commerce and the Oneida County Dive Team and is a fund raiser for the Dive Team. Overall and Age Group awards will be presented. Set in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park Loch Lomond is the largest body of freshwater in mainland Britain. The scenery is unrivalled and an excellent location to enjoy Open Water Swimming.
This event will be swum from Luss Beach and will now be part of the Luss Highland Games.
This event will include 1k, 2k & 5k swims.

22nd Annual Maryland Swim for Life
Swim for Life is an open water swim competition and fundraising event to benefit Washington, DC-area HIV/AIDS non-profit organizations, as well as local watershed organizations that advocate for clean, local waters.
Sanctioned each year by United States Masters Swimming, Swim for Life begins and ends at Rolph's Wharf on the Chester River, which is one of the Chesapeake Bay's most beautiful tributaries. Athletes have the choice of swimming 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 miles. New for 2013: The 2.4-mile Triathlon Challenge Swim!
